On behalf of Assumption University and Assumption International Debating Society, thank you – from the bottom of our hearts – for your dedicated support for THSDC in the past 5 years. We couldn’t have done it without you. But it’s time to give THSDC to the Thai debate community and let it grow even further.

As we’ve announced at the council meeting on 8th November 2010, Assumption University will no longer host THSDC and will let it open for bidding. Chulalongkorn University had expressed their interest in hosting the 6th THSDC around November 2011.

It was agreed that the next THSDC will be a tournament under TNDC constitution. The council will give Thailand’s debate community 1 month after the 9th November for institutions interested in hosting this tournament to submit the proposal. ( For more information on what’s required on the proposal, please refer to TNDC constitution.) Since it was not specified where the proposal should be submitted to, please submit the proposal to thsdc.info@gmail.com before 10th December 2010. We will post the proposal on this website for public viewing and the voting shall commerce online. Suggestions on how the voting should be done are welcomed. ( Please email the suggestions to thsdc.info@gmail.com , no phone calls will be accepted. )

Process of online bidding will be posted on this website after 10th December 2010.
